How to Use

To treat an acne breakout

As Tamanu oil is rich in anti-bacterial and wound-healing properties, it make an effective treatment oil for acne. Use a roll-on applicator to gently apply this oil on the concerned areas as a spot treatment.

As an anti-aging skin serum

Being rich in fatty acids & antioxidants, Tamanu oil is effective for locking extra moisture and fighting UV damage.

Add 15 drops of Lavender, 5 drops of Ylang Ylang and 8 drops of Frankincense essential oils to 30ml Tamanu oil and 70ml Jojoba oil. Mix well and use a few drops as a facial serum or even as a body oil.

As an oil cleanser

Mix 10 ml of Tamanu oil with 30ml Jojoba oil. Add 9 drops of Frankincense essential oil and mix well. Pour a small amount into your hands and gently apply the oil onto your face (avoid the eyes) and massage in a circular motion with your fingertips.

Leave on for 1-2 minutes and gently wipe off with a warm, wet washcloth. Follow this with a gentle water-based cleanser to complete the cleansing procedure.

Tamanu oil is extracted from the seeds of a tropical evergreen called Tamanu nut tree. It is native to Southeast Asia and Polynesia. Tamanu oil has been used medicinally for several hundred years by many Asian, African, and Southern Pacific Island cultures. It is rich in skin loving fatty acids such as Oleic acid, Linoleic acid, Palmitic acid and Stearic acid.

Interpreting the charts

Step 1: As per age group, please take note of the recommended and maximum dilution percentages.

Step 2: Based on the amount of carrier oil, you can find the corresponding number of essential oil drops to be used to achieve the dilution you require e.g., for 1% dilution in 30ml of carrier oil, use 8 drops of same/different essential oils.

Precautions

Always perform a 24 hour period patch test at the recommended dilution levels or lesser, as per the age group to check for any allergic reaction or skin sensitivities.
