How to Use

As a face serum

Use a few drops of Grapeseed oil, either directly or blended with suitable essential oils and gently massage onto your face using upward and outward motions.

Add 1-2 drops of 100% pure Grapeseed oil to your favourite moisturiser (face & body creams) to help lock in extra moisture and nourish your skin.

As a moisturising mask

Add 4 drops each of Frankincense and Lavender essential oils to 30ml Grapeseed oil and mix well.

Apply a generous amount of the blend to your skin and leave on as a moisturising mask for 10 minutes to make your skin feel extra soft & smooth.

As a massage oil

Grapeseed oil's light-weight texture makes it a great massage oil that easily penetrates into the skin. It also helps soothe stiff & sore muscles.

Blend 5 drops of Grapeseed oil with 1 drop each of Lavender and Bergamot essential oils. Mix well and apply all over your body to moisturise your skin and also nourish & rejuvenate your body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Grapeseed oil come from? How is it made?

Grapeseed oil is produced from grape seeds (that are a byproduct of winemaking). They are usually extracted by crushing the seeds and using solvents. However, Iryasa’s Grapeseed oil is cold pressed after washing and crushing the seeds. There is not much oil in each seed, therefore, about 30 kgs of grape seeds are used to produce about 250ml of Grapeseed oil.

What are the main chemical constituents of Grapeseed oil?

Grapeseed oil is rich in Linoleic acids, Oleic acid, Palmitic acid, Stearic acid, Palmitoleic acid, Vitamin E and Beta-Carotene.

May I use Grapeseed oil as an eye makeup remover?

Yes! To clean eye makeup such as eyeliner, mascara and eye shadow, pour a few drops of the oil onto a cotton bud and gently swipe across the eye lids and lashes.

Dilution Guide

Most websites/blogs mention about diluting essential oils before topical application. While this is correct, it is not sufficient!

Use the guide below to get started on your DIY blending journey.

Interpreting the charts

Step 1: As per age group, please take note of the recommended and maximum dilution percentages.

Step 2: Based on the amount of carrier oil, you can find the corresponding number of essential oil drops to be used to achieve the dilution you require e.g., for 1% dilution in 30ml of carrier oil, use 8 drops of same/different essential oils.

Precautions

Always perform a 24 hour period patch test at the recommended dilution levels or lesser, as per the age group to check for any allergic reaction or skin sensitivities.

While the dilution percentages work for most of our essential oils, we strongly recommend that you read the safety precautions listed for each oil before you craft the blend.
